Listen, you don't have to tell me anything. I KNOW that already. And as I've stated CLEARLY before I do NOT ship Martin and Benedict together.
You are one of those people that makes me want to delete all my comics as I've stated in this journal-post (LINK), people who don't seem to understand that I'm joking. I'm being sarcastic.
I'm joking about the fact that every time Benedict and Martin are talking about each other to journalist etc, they're always praising each other to the heavens, talking about how fantastic the other is, how they're so funny and nice, and how they look up to each other. Especially Benedict around series 1 (2010), because back then Martin was a more experienced actor who Benedict very much looked up to (still do I'm sure) that's why I've portrayed Benedict in my comics as being like "a love-sick teenager" because it was funny and cute the way he acted/acts. They've been seen multiple times on Sherlock shootings doing things like hugging, straightening each other's collars etc. They are pushing "the limit" of what society conceders’ "male friendship" or "bromance" as some people call it (god I hate that word), and I love that they do that. I love that they act like most friends would. A lot of women can act this way around their same-sex friends and society doesn’t call them gay for it. But just because two men hug then they MUST be gay! Affection is sadly enough not common in most male friendships these days and if there is, then someone has to add a "NO HOMO!" (another phrase I hate).
And even if I DID ship Martin and Benedict together, so what? This comic is not hurting anyone. I’m not bashing Amanda (Martin’s partner. Martin doesn't have a wife, he has a partner, they're not married) in it. I’m not bashing her in ANY of my comics (like SOME idiotic people have started doing because they think she “gets in the way of their johnlock-ship” just because she plays Mary Morstan on Sherlock. Bunch of morons the lot of them).
So there. Yes, I am aware that Martin has a partner that he loves very much, and I hope they live happily ever after together. Seriously, they ARE perfect together.
I’m sorry if I’m sounding too rude in this text but I’m sick and tired of having to explain this.
