- I can guess the subject of your reverie.
- I should imagine not.
- You are considering how insupportable it would be to pass many evenings in this manner-- in such society; and indeed I am quite of your opinion. I was never more annoyed! The insipidity and yet the noise; the nothingness and yet the self-importance of all these people! -- What would I give to hear your strictures on them!
- Your conjecture is totally wrong, I assure you. My mind was more agreeably engaged...-Pride & Prejudice - Jane Austen ©
Finally, finally finished, I've worked on it for ages (and I mean ages
)! I really wanted to draw something (Sherlock related of course) which would be a kind of crossover/AU, taking place in the early 19th-century. Because.....those clothes!
And dressing up John, Sherlock and Mycroft in those clothes was a hoot!
I've build it up to play out a scene from the book Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen, where Miss Bingley tries to pry out Mr. Darcy's thoughts. But I changed it so Mycroft is Miss Bingley; Sherlock is Mr. Darcy(because let's face it, Sherlock kind of is like Mr. Darcy) aaaaand that would make John, Elizabeth? XD
I liked using the blur-tool (in Photoshop) on the girls to the right and on the edges to bring out this feeling that Sherlock's focus is entirely on John and everything else is not important. But hey I'm just an 'ol romantic
Also the silhouettes I used for the pictures on the wall belong to Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth as portrayed by Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle from the 1995 series(my favourite
I just wanted to say that the wallpaper in the background does not belong to me, I didn't make it, and Iím not that good XD. I found it on one of those pages where you can order wallpaper online but now I can't find it
(I Wish you could zoom in more on it because there's shit-load of details in this, I loooove details.)
Painted in Photoshop
I can happily announce that this picture is one in a series which I will make as illustrations to a fanfic written by the lovely Rose13red
